Couples Crisis Intensive
A Specialized 1–2 Day Therapeutic Intensive for Couples in the Aftermath of Betrayal
When relational betrayal surfaces, life can shift instantly.
Partners often describe feeling disoriented, unsafe, and unsure where to turn next. Our Couples Crisis Intensive is designed to meet couples at this exact moment—providing immediate structure, clarity, and a compassionate plan forward, centered around the needs of the betrayed partner.
This intensive is individualized, high-touch, and intentionally grounded in the CSAT model to stabilize the relationship so real therapeutic work can begin.
Who the intensive is for:
Couples navigating sexual betrayal, infidelity, compulsive sexual behavior, or relational crisis
Betrayed partners needing safety, clarity, and direction
Couples unsure whether to continue together but wanting a structured, clinically guided process
Relationships requiring immediate intervention before long-term therapy begins
Pre-Intensive Assessment
Before meeting in person or virtually, each partner completes a thorough assessment so we can tailor the work to your relationship’s specific history, wounds, and needs.
Betrayal trauma screening
Compulsive sexual behavior assessment (if applicable)
Evaluation of relational patterns, communication, and safety needs
Identification of immediate stabilization priorities
Personalized Treatment Roadmap (3–6 Months)
Every couple leaves with a written packet outlining:
Specific therapist referrals (individual, group, CSAT, betrayal trauma clinicians)
A 3–6 month treatment plan with clear steps and timelines
Recommended boundaries and safety agreements
Crisis-stabilization tools
Structured exercises for connection, accountability, and repair
Guidance for next steps if separation or discernment is needed
This roadmap provides immediate direction at a time when clarity is often lost.
1–2 Day Individualized Intensive
Across structured sessions, we will work toward:
Establishing emotional and relational safety for the betrayed partner
Clarifying the realities of the betrayal and its impact
Addressing acute crisis responses, dysregulation, and trauma reactions
Helping the unfaithful partner understand accountability, empathy, and next steps
Designing immediate boundaries, expectations, and therapeutic agreements
Preparing the couple for recommended ongoing therapeutic work
This process draws from the Unmasking Model, Embodied Trust Model, and CSAT betrayal trauma frameworks.
Coordination With Your Providers
With your consent, I will connect with your current therapist(s) to ensure continuity of care, integration of the plan, and consistent clinical expectations going forward.
